Acts 16.31 is one of the seminal passages in the Bible.
‘Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved’.
It’s such a simple verse, but the implications are tremendous. It’s a verse about believing and Jesus and salvation. Much of church doctrine and mission come back to this singular passage.
So during Lent we are going to dive in and unpack this verse, word-by-word and phrase-by-phrase. Maybe it will teach us more than we think, and maybe it will teach us something different than what we’ve always been taught.

Story Telling | Winter 2025 @ Peace
Most of us have heard the stories of Adam & Eve, David & Goliath, and Jesus Walking on Water. We've grown up on these stories and they've shaped our faith from a young age.
But when was the last time we explored the most common stories of the Bible? Too often, we hear these stories as kids and then we move on to the less recognizable stories or the more complex concepts - like parables or the Beatitudes.
In this series, we will dive a little deeper into the most recognizable stories. We will see what they have to teach us now that we are adults. We just might be surprised by what we see and what we learn.
Jan 5 | Adam & Eve
Jan 12 | Noah's Ark
Jan 19 | Dreams and Nightmares (Joseph's Story)
Jan 26 | A Beloved Response (David & Goliath)
Feb 2 | Rescue, Resistance, Resilience (Daniel and the Den)
Feb 9 | God Loves All (Jonah & the Whale)
Feb 16 | Jesus Walks on Water
Feb 23 | Jesus Heals a Man Lowered through the Ceiling
Mar 2 | Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead
